There was an ant who each morning would get up and dig, loosening the earth from the tunnels piling it in a little hill. One earth crumb at a time, day by day, it slowly made the mound bigger and bigger but then one day a downpour from the heavens came, flooding the ants home, destroying the mound, washing all of the ants hard work away.
Our life is like this some times. Day by day we do the things we need to do but then in one instant everything can change, our life can be turned upside down in a minute.
A loved one gets sick and can’t work. A loved one passes away. Someone loses their job. A weather event, tornado, flood or other things destroys everything we own.
You see, we need to be like the ant, no matter what came its way, it was determined to keep going, it would rebuild, never giving up hope.
We also can do the same, with the Lord by our side, whether its healing, strength, hope, grace or faith we need; He is there to help us through it all and all we have to do is reach out to Him.
