Walking in heaven…

I came into the living room this morning, sat down and when I looked at the clock saw it was 4:44am. Those numbers have constantly been coming up for us for well over a month now. Within seconds I was no longer in the living room but walking among heaven.

As I walked, I saw many people, some were holding boxes, all different sizes. As I walked by some of them set the box down for me to receive it. I knew the other boxes were for others who would be blessed with being brought there.

As I continued, I noticed the area around and above them was moving. The best way I can explain is it looked like the aurora lights. It was amazing and so beautiful. I continued walking and as I did, I felt something in my left hand. As I moved my hand up to see what it was, I noticed it was very soft. It was a piece of paper about the size of a tissue. I opened it and saw something written on it. As I read it, I heard, was given the book, the chapter and verse, “Romans fifteen four”. I then was suddenly back in the living room.

No matter what we have been through or are going through, there is something inside His word, the Bible that can help us, encourage us. Like the verse says, the one I was given. His word is where we not only can receive hope but also come to know that God keeps His promises.

“For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.” (Romans 15:4).

The barn door is open!

I slept about an hour when I was suddenly awakened and couldn’t go back to sleep last night. So, I got up and came into the living room to spend time with God.

It wasn’t long before I heard the Lord speak. He said, “The barn door is open.” I thought “Okay?” Not sure where God was going with it. Suddenly a barn appeared in front of me, and I found myself walking past the open door. In fact, I didn’t even see a door as I stepped inside.

Once inside, I noticed things on the right and left of the barn hanging in the air, it was bouquets of flowers. I noticed there was baby’s breath in each of them, but I also noticed something else, they all had white lilies in them. They were beautiful, they looked like they just came from a florist. I walked over gathering three of the bouquets to my left and two to my right. The rest of the white lillie bouquets God will be giving out to other people.

I looked to see what if anything that white lilies may mean, Christian wise. It said it represents new beginnings and hope. He then gave me John 10:10 to read. “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” Amen on having an overflow of abundance, so we can bless others.

Jeremiah was not a bull frog!

Some people know what I am talking about when I say that, and some may not. There was a song many years ago that was called that. Jeremiah was a prophet from the Bible. As a prophet, Jeremiah spoke a lot of God’s judgment upon the people for their wickedness. He was concerned especially with worship that was not true worship.

The thing is, a prophet’s life is never easy, and Jeremiah had an especially rough time. He was sent to warn a wicked nation of God’s judgments while calling on them to repent and turn from their sins. He also had another role. It was to build up and encourage the faithful of that time as well as us today to remain strong in living godly lives and to stay close to God. When we do that, stay close to God and His word, no matter what our eyes see, or our ears hear we can get through it.

Something else Jeremiah’s was known for was a verse about hope. One of the most quoted verses in the Bible is Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” You have a calling, a future, one chosen by God. God has plans for you. Don’t let life pass by without you using your gifts, your talents to help advance Gods kingdom upon earth!

She went from running in fear, to a life she could never imagine…

Tears flowed as Hope listened to his words. He did it so sweetly and gentle. “He wants to date me. Me! Then one day get engaged.” she thought, then tears started to flow. Chris reached up and wiped the tears away and asked, “Will you?” She stepped closer to him and looked him in the eyes and said, “Yes, I will have you and we can date and yes, I would love to be engaged to you.” He kissed her on her right cheek, then pulled her into his arms holding her. They stood there for a long time holding onto one another and looking at the waterfall. (Paragraph from book).

These are the words she wrote, “The property of Hope.” That was her name, Hope Leeann Smith, Smith was her birth name. She never wanted to hear or go by her married name ever again. She smiled as she sat there looking at the Bible. She closed it, picking it up in her two hands and held it close to her heart. She then thought, “My hope was hidden for many years but now I have been set free. Thank you, God for giving me the courage to leave.” (Paragraph from book).

Hope went from running in fear of being found by her abusive husband, to a new life that she could never have imagined. There were some pitfalls along the way, but Hope would find that God was with her and would use her past in amazing ways.

It’s supernatural hope…

I woke up suddenly from a deep sleep this morning. I lifted my head just enough to see the time. I saw it was 1:11am, so I laid my head back down on the pillow. A second or two went by, if that, when I heard something. God said, “Get up child!” I got up, came into the living room and sat down. I no sooner did that when I started to hear a song. The words were, “Your goodness is running after, running after me. With my life laid down, I surrender now, I give You everything, Your goodness is running after, running after me.” I knew the song, The Goodness of God.”

I then got quiet and listened to see if He had something to show me or say to me, being He woke me up at 1:11. I figured there must be something. It wasn’t long before I had to pick my notepad and pen up and started to write. Some words I had to look for the meaning. Toward the end of the two hours I spent with God, writing things down, He started talking about hope. He said, “This is more than hope beyond hope.” In other words, believing beyond believing. It may seem beyond the realm of possibility, but God is the God of impossibilities. It’s supernatural hope! It’s not just a desire but a confident expectation for something great to happen.

What really pulls this all together is God said to read Romans fifteen. Having no idea what Romans 15 said I picked up my Bible and started to read. What does parts of it talk about, HOPE! Romans 15:4, 13, is an overflow confidence in God’s promises!

Romans 15:4 “For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.”

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.”

Yes, Lord! From the moment that I wake up to laying down you are on my mind. Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God!
