When I finally make it home!

2 Corinthians 5:1-5 For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

God is speaking but are you listening?

The Lord is so awesome. Lately, especially this week, He will speak to me a word or words or show me a vision, then just a little bit later I will ask Him what He would like me to read of His word (Bible). I usually hear or see the verse or chapter and I go to it.

This week it has been stronger than normal. I will hear Him speak to me about something and then when I ask Him what He wants me to read, its always about what He just spoke to me about. If my life depended on it I could not tell you where this or that verse is, nor could I tell if you asked me what it said.

Here are a few examples. Saturday, 6/10/2017, I was praying and had asked the Lord for wisdom. When I received the verse to read “Proverbs 4:5” it says… “Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.” (there is no way I could have told you what that verse said)

Then on the 6/12/2017 He spoke to me about remaining humble. When I asked what verse to read, I see “Matthew 18” and verse 4 says….”Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

When you are praying stop and listen for Him to speak to you. Yes, you have a lot to speak to Him about but He also has a lot He would like to say to you if you are willing to listen.

He will guide us if we are willing to listen and give Him the time and YES He does still speak to us. Take time to listen for His voice and guidance. Its no telling what you are missing. He has a lot to say to you if you only would give Him a little time out of each day in order to hear Him.

Walk With Me Lord!

Psalm 86:11 Train me, God, to walk straight; then I’ll follow your true path. Put me together, one heart and mind; then, undivided, I’ll worship in joyful fear.

It’s Better to Suffer for Doing Good.

1 Peter 3:13-18 If with heart and soul you’re doing good, do you think you can be stopped? Even if you suffer for it, you’re still better off. Don’t give the opposition a second thought. Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy. Keep a clear conscience before God so that when people throw mud at you, none of it will stick. They’ll end up realizing that they’re the ones who need a bath. It’s better to suffer for doing good, if that’s what God wants, than to be punished for doing bad. That’s what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others’ sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all—was put to death and then made alive—to bring us to God.

Let Him Calm The Storms Of Your Life

Are you going through a storm right now? Maybe you lost someone you loved. Maybe you are wondering where the next meal will come from. Maybe your heart is hurting from something someone said.

Let Him calm the storm your going through. If He can calm a raging sea I know He can calm whatever you are going through.

Mark 4: He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Will You Reach Out?

He is reaching out to you. Will you reach out to Him?

When you draw near to Him you will find His awesome grace, His mercy and His forgiveness but the best of all is……. you will find and feel His love.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
