Shine so through you… others see Him!

Light……we need it to see where we are going in the dark. We need it to help plants grow. We need it to shine so the moon can reflect the sun’s light into our night but there is another light, one that gives more life and light than the sun and moon put together. That light is the light from the Lord. Just like the sun that gives life, when we have Gods light living inside us, our light can help others in many different ways.

Does the light of God that’s inside you shine where others can see Him? Does it shine where others see more of you instead of the Lord or does it shine at all?

Don’t keep it hidden inside you. Don’t shine just so others can see you. Let the light of God shine so brightly from you that all anyone can see is the Lord.

Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Ephesians 5:8 For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
